TeleVue Imaging System Accessories

TeleVue Imaging System accessories are a line of interchangeable, matching products that facilitate astro-imaging with your telescope. Imaging System accessories were developed to meet the varied demands of astro imagers using the TeleVue line of Imaging System ("is") APO refractor scopes: the NP-127is, NP-101is, and 102iis. The wide focuser openings of "is" scopes allows for critical illumination of imaging chips up to 50-mm diameter. An adapter allows reusability of virtually all of the Imaging System accessories on our 2" focuser scopes and those of other brands.

As you'll see in the accompanying table, the wide breadth of Imaging System accessories makes this a complete product line of optical components, focal path hardware, mount rings and focusing accessories.

Focal Path Accessories

Optical path Imaging System accessories attach to Tele Vue "is" telescope focusers with the Imaging System Adapter supplied with the scope. Non-"is" scopes like the Tele Vue-76, Tele Vue-85, Tele Vue-NP101, Tele Vue-102 and other brands with 2" focuser can benefit from the quality, convenience and threaded coupling of select Imaging System accessories by employing the RAD-1074 (Imaging System Nosepiece for 2" Focuser) adapter. This adapter slides into any 2" focuser and provides an "is" compatible mounting thread for the Imaging System accessories. This works fine for users of APS-size imagers that don't require large field illumination and allows interchangeability of Imaging System components with non-"is" scopes.

The Imaging System focal path accessories don't lock you into working with a proprietary system: your existing 2" and SCT-threaded accessories connect firmly to the 2.4" Imaging System accessories through our A2A-1107 (2.4" Adapter for 2" Accessories) adapter and TLX-1108 (2.4" Adapter with male SCT Thread) adapter.

Focuser Accessories

Focusing accessories are designed to mount on the focuser bodies of Tele Vue "is" and other late-model Tele Vue telescopes. All Tele Vue "is" scopes come standard with Focusmate 6:1 ball-type reduction focuser. Non-"is" Tele Vue scopes with five-hole focus wheels can be fitted with the same Focusmate unit. Focusmate opens up the scope to using the Focusmate Driver for hand-paddle, vibration-free motor-control of Focusmate.

Focusmaster Computer Interface can be adapted to any Focusmate Driver for computer controlled focus.

Imaging System Indicator Kit focusing accessories can measure focus changes down to 1-micron. They fit all "is" scopes and current TV-76, TV-85, TV-102 and NP101 scopes with black aluminum drawtubes and tapped holes. The indicator reads focuser movement directly, which removes the possibility of errors caused by systems that work off of pinion mounted stepper motors. Focusmaster ties the Focusmate driver and digital indictor to your ASCOM compliant camera control software, creating a "closed-loop" autofocusing system.

If you have an ASCOM compatible focusing programs (MaxIm DL, Astroart, etc.) the combination of Focusmaster, Indicator Kit and Focusmate Driver allows automated focus for your camera.
