Starlight Xpress Cooled CCD Imaging Systems

Starlight Xpress was established in 1991 and has an impeccable pedigree for designing and manufacturing cooled CCD cameras for astronomy. Their strategy to deliver high quality imaging systems to the astronomical world and their innovative design approach have kept them at the forefront of technology for nearly two decades.
Starlight Xpress were the first to introduce “Single-Shot” color cameras and Interline CCDs into astronomy when everyone else said they couldn’t be used; now all other manufacturers have followed their lead and now use these CCDs. Starlight Xpress were also the first to design USB1.1 and USB2.0 cameras, allowing huge reductions in download times as well as a reduction in readout noise.
Starlight Xpress offers a complete line of cooled CCD cameras, both color and monochromatic, with resolutions up to 16 million pixels. These cameras feature extremely low dark signal levels wrapped in a very lightweight package.
