Losmandy mounts are highly prized by serious astrophotogrphers. These precision German equatorial mounts are in a class by themselves, combining the low periodic error needed for astrophotography with affordable price points. A large percentage of our astro-imaging customers use Losmandy mounts, with the G11 bein by far the most popular choice. The Losmandy G11 mount easily handles refractors up to five inches and Schmidt-Cassegrains up to eleven inches in aperture.

Losmandy mounts are offered with and without the Gemini 2 go-to computer system. The difference between these offerings extends beyond the computer itself to the drive motors. While it is possible to upgrade the base version of these mounts to the Gemini 2 system, it is important to note that this involves far more than simply plugging in an optional computer keypad.
