Non-Commercial Equipment Review Sites When it comes to equipment review sites, the phrase "caveat emptor" or "let the buyer beware" applies to some of the vendor owned sites. We would simply advise caution when it comes to using information found on sites having both user forums and classified advertising sections. There is an opportunity for editorial bias towards the brands that the site owners carry, and some of the reviews are likely to have been written by people who simply don't have a clue about optics. The following sites do not sell telescopes, and the reviews they contain have been written by seasoned observers.
